Nerdy Nuances + India Circus GIVEAWAY

I have personally always loved the nerdy, geeky look. Be it with hints of  femininity or a rather masculine androgynous look. I even own three pairs of geek-glasses though I don't have an eyesight issue, haha!

Pairing this outfit together was super fun! Its a combination of the reigning crop top trend with a fitted high waist skirt that revealed a slightly teasing hint of mid-riff. I threw on a denim shirt with a grunge acid wash and carried a funky contrast coloured bright bag sent to me by India Circus to finish off the look.

A little bit of accessories like my rather over-used pair of tan and nude combo heels, nerdy glasses and a sparkly crystal necklace added that finesse factor.

India Circus is this online retail store that houses swanky lifestyle products and a lot more, designed by Krsna Mehta. From apparel to bags to card holders, you can find a wide variety of fabulous products with the prettiest prints that I've seen in a while! Krsna Mehta takes inspiration from lovely monuments and architectures of our very own rich country.

I am giving away this Hot Air Balloon Bag by India Circus, designed by Krsna Mehta, to one lucky winner. This bag isn't even available on their website and this makes it all the more interesting for the participants! ;) I don't personally like the Rafflecopter system much, so I've kept the rules as simple as I could.

The Elephant Company

Owing to my trip up the Himalayas, I recently took to drinking coffee off and on  ( Yes, I was never too fond of it earlier ) and I've been on the hunt for cute coffee mugs ever since! Lately I came across this website, The Elephant Company. Its a one stop shop for an array of beautiful lifestyle products such as mugs, cushion covers, clocks, mouse pads, lampshades, crockery as well as wallets and bags. Like me if you love to stock up on lovely, colourful and quirky prints in cushion covers, mouse pads etc, you should definitely pay this website a visit.

My previous mouse pad was a boring, black one that my dad had got home one day, from office. It served its purpose till it wore out a few days back and I was on the hunt for a bright colourful one that would compliment my computer desk and the red wall in my room. I finally came across this one with an elephant print on it and pretty shades of red as the background colour. Just what I was keen on buying.

As for the coffee mug, its a floral print and that is something I've been obsessing over since the advent of spring. Quite an apt buy to satiate my desire for a coffee mug.

In fact the prices were super pocket-friendly and the parcel gets delivered to your house in the cutest packaging ever!!

And they often have various ongoing offers that one can avail.

They also just launched their new collection, 'Stallion' with various lifestyle products like wall clocks etc inspired by the Stallion.
Check out their new collection HERE.

Van Heusen - DUO (PART 2)

This being a sequel to the previous Van Heusen post, is a rather interesting one. Its my personal favourite as its a particular style that I haven't ever worn but always wanted to. Personally I love the concept of  'Power-Dressing' and in this post its highlighted to its fullest!

Now, about this gorgeous suit, I don't know where to start! Its this super gorgeous crimson shade with a white based polka dotted lining on the inside of the blazer. Love! The fit of the trousers is great too! Its a soft slightly stretchable fabric which makes the fit even better, fitting the curves at the right places and not the wrong, haha!

As for me, I styled this lovely suit, with a halter, polka dotted cropped bustier and added a black lazer cut clutch to add some drama and to break the over powering use of red in an outfit, head to toe.
Hope you liked the way I styled this suit. Enjoy the pictures! :)

Van Heusen - UNUS (PART 1)

So I was MIA again but that was only coz I got an internship at a share trading company owing to my MBA- Finance curriculum. Also, I went off on this fun adventurous hike with my friends up in the Himalayas! Yes, right up! :P Well, I had a blast and came back with an awful tan, sun-burn, lesser weight ( not that I needed to lose even more? :/ ) but most importantly, I returned, a changed person in many small ways with some fantastic memories! A travel post will be up as soon as I finish posting all me pending ones! ^_^

As for now, before I left, I collaborated with Van Heusen, India ( Yes thats a biggie! ) for their Limited Edition Deepika Padukone collection. The pieces are subtle, classy and suitable for all occasions, be it a romantic dinner, a meeting with your boss or a night out with your bunch of friends! Renowned actor, Deepika Padukone is said to have personally designed this special Spring Summer '14 collection that is available at all Van Heusen Stores across India along with The Collective stores as well.

" I've tried to design a line that doesn't merely bask in the sun, but celebrates it. The result is the Limited Edition Spring Summer 2014 Collection that I hope you love wearing as much as I enjoyed creating. "
-Deepika Padukone

Here I used their scalloped cut out black skirt which I paired with my own striped shirt and red kitten heels. I added a nude lazer cut clutch to add a little zing to the outfit which can be worn for a formal dinner or for presentations, meetings with clients or a lunch date with your work colleague.
