en·vy (noun) - a feeling of discontented or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possessions, qualities, or luck.

'Envy' is an emotion which "occurs when a person lacks another's superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it". - That's what most of the websites describe it as. Why does envy have to be associated with the lack of something in ourselves, that is present in someone else & which we desire in ourselves?
How many times have you felt envious of someone? Envious of that person who has that car? Or envious of the person who's married to the love of her life while you're single? Or envious of the person who has the best career in the world? The list is never ending, isn't it?
Makes me wonder if we humans could spend the rest of our lives comparing & just pining for the things we don't have? Makes me think harder, why we so easily choose to look at the things we 'Don't Have' rather than the things we 'Have'.
We need to learn to look at the brighter side even during the dullest days when envy grips you. We are human after all. And that is the beauty of being Human - to be able to have the lowest days & be able to pick ourselves up & rise no matter what.
Envy can be a beautiful emotion, inspiring us in ways unknown rather than throw us off-board the positivity ship. Being envious of someone should motivate us to reach there & go even beyond. The Universe works wonders when it senses a positive soul. Trust me on this! Now, does 'Envy' look like a bad emotion to you? It sure doesn't to me! :)

The collaboration with The Art Robe was a delight owing to their use of fabrics like chiffon, silks & raw silks with hand painted motifs! So much of effort into each piece!
Check out their collection here
Featuring here is their green hand painted silk scarf which inspired my article - 'Envy'.
